Edit on iPad
On iPad the slide gets the whole screen. The tools float on the left, their panels open beside the slide, and the slide strip can be shown or hidden.
Steps
Tap a tool in the floating palette: Layout, Theme, Photo, AI, Notes or Slide. With Apple Pencil or a pointer, hover to see its name first.
The panel opens next to the slide, and the slide moves over so it is never hidden.
Use the button under the tools to show or hide the slide strip.
With a keyboard: Command-Z undoes, Command-Shift-Z redoes, the arrow keys move between slides and Command-Return starts presenting.
