Getting started
What is Slide Forge?
An iPhone and iPad app that turns a topic, a web link or a document into a finished, designed presentation. Kai, the assistant, plans the story, writes every slide and finds photos. You then edit, present, share or export it.
Do I need an account?
No sign-up and no password. The app signs in on its own in the background. Purchases belong to your Apple ID and decks can follow it through iCloud.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15 or later. Exported PowerPoint and PDF files open anywhere, and web links open in any browser.
How long does a deck take?
About 3.5 seconds per slide plus a few seconds to plan the story: an 8-slide deck takes about half a minute. The slide count picker shows the estimate.
Creating decks
What can I start a deck from?
A topic you type, a public web page, or a PDF, Word, PowerPoint or text file up to 8 MB. You can also import an existing deck and restyle it.
How many slides can a deck have?
When Kai makes a deck you choose 4 to 16 slides. Afterwards you can add, duplicate and delete slides as you like.
Which languages can a deck be written in?
Fourteen: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Kazakh, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch and Hindi. A finished deck can be translated into any of them.
Can I bring in a deck I already have?
Yes. Import a PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF up to 30 MB, or a public Google Slides link. Keynote and Canva decks come in through their PowerPoint export. Kai keeps your slides, order, facts and photos and rebuilds each slide in a new design.
Editing and AI
Can I edit a deck after Kai makes it?
Yes. Tap any text to change it, switch layouts and themes, change photos, add notes, and add, move or delete slides. Undo and redo work for every change.
What can the AI change?
For the whole deck: the tone (Professional, Friendly, Academic, Inspiring, Playful, Bold), simpler words, shorter, fix language and translate. For one slide: shorter, more detail, simpler, persuasive, key points, fix language, or your own instruction.
Is AI output always right?
No. Kai keeps the facts you give it, but AI can still get a date, a number or a name wrong. Check the facts before you present.
Presenting and sharing
Can my audience follow along on their phones?
Yes. Present live shares a link; everyone who opens it follows your slides as you move, and can react, ask questions and vote in polls. Nobody needs the app.
Can I see who opened my link?
With VIP, link stats show views, people, average time, how many saw the whole deck, time on each slide and recent views. Turn on Ask viewers for their name to see names.
Can I edit the PowerPoint file?
Yes. PowerPoint export places real text boxes, shapes and photos, so the words stay editable in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides. Speaker notes come along. PDFs are pictures of the slides and are not editable.
Plans and billing
How much does Slide Forge cost?
The app is free to download. Your first deck is free, with one AI change and PDF export. Slide Forge VIP is a yearly, monthly or weekly subscription; see the Pricing page. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy.
How do I cancel?
In the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad: your name, Subscriptions, Slide Forge, Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel.
I bought VIP but the app does not show it.
Open Settings in Slide Forge and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you bought with.
Privacy and data
What happens to what I type or upload?
It is sent to our servers and AI providers to build the slides, as described in the Privacy Policy. Decks are stored on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn sync on.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, Account, Delete account. It deletes your account from our servers; decks on the device stay until you delete them.
Why do my screenshots come out black?
On a free account, screenshots and recordings of the editor and presenter are turned off, because the slides there have no credit line. Export a PDF instead, or use VIP.
